Origami Owl® Designer Requirements

Making the decision to join Origami Owl® is something you should put careful thought and consideration into prior. There are many reasons you may decide to join, whether it be because you love the jewelry and are looking to share that love with others as a hobby, or that you are looking to grow into a part-time or full-time business. Whatever your goals, as with many direct sales companies, Origami Owl® does have requirements in order to remain "active" within the company.

"Active" as recognized by Origami Owl®:
  • In order for an Origami Owl® Designer® to be considered active in the company and maintain Back Office access, they must submit $199 in Personal Volume (wholesale) every 6 months.
  • Personal Volume (PV) is the product that you purchase from Origami Owl® at wholesale, as well as the wholesale value of what you sell at retail.
  • Commission is either 30 or 50% for all products, and therefore will cause personal volume to vary based on what items are ordered and their wholesale cost.
  • $199 PV broken down into 6 months turns into about $35/month. This is easily achievable! Even if you choose to take a break from Jewelry Bars® at any given time, this can be done by purchasing items for your own inventory, gifts, or purchases made by friends/family.
  • However, choosing to strive for higher minimums per month will help to keep you from going inactive and provide you with better success in your business. It is good to get in the habit of working to achieve higher minimums in order to help successfully grow your business. Should you choose to grow your team, there are higher minimums to achieve leader career titles and maintain your title for additional commission override on your downline.

Active as a designer in a qualifying month, for purpose of your upline's bonus override (AKA downline commission):
  • Your direct mentor earns bonus commission on the PV of their team (called CTV or Central Team Volume).
  • In order to maintain achieved title and be paid as such title, your mentor must have so many active front line designers on his/her team each month.
  • In order to be considered active for that month in regards to your mentor, that designer must have $99 PV for the month.

How do you maintain PV?
  • Jewelry Bars® - These are one of your main ways to not only help maintain PV but to help put commission in your pocket.
  •  Events - Allow for you to expand your reach and meet new people. Search your local area for fairs, shows, and other events.
  • Fundraisers - Pairing with organizations and donating your achieved commission is a great way to not only help achieve PV, but to give back to the community and work towards being a force for good!
  • Social Media - With many people still finding out about Origami Owl® using platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest can also help to broaden your reach.
