Understanding the Origami Owl® Hostess Rewards

So you are a new designer and you stumble upon this sheet of paper and wonder what does this all mean! Or perhaps you are interested in hosting a Jewelry Bar® and are wondering just how the Origami Owl® Hostess Rewards work. Either way, let's break it down for you!

Below is a picture of the Origami Owl® Hostess Rewards flyer as current in the Jan-March 2014 quarter. As you can see, there is a chart that shows what you earn at varying levels of sales as well as a picture of this quarter's current Hostess Exclusive.

There are three main parts to the Hostess Rewards:

1. Free Product

• The Hostess earns free product as a percentage of her total sales. At each of the 3 levels, this percentage increases. A qualifying party starts at 4 orders with a minimum retail total of $125 in sales. Once a party qualifies it earns the Hostess 15% of her overall retail sales back in free product. When she hits $500 in retail sales, that turns into 20% and at $1000 goes up to 25%.
• For Example: Susie Q. hosts a qualifying party of 8 orders with total retail sales at $600. She has reached the level of $500 and therefore will receive 20% of this in free product. $600 x .2 = $120 FREE Product.

2. Half Off Items

• For every $250 in sales, the Hostess earns one 50% off item (maximum of 4 items if party reaches >$1000.)
• The Hostess also receives one half off item for each additional booking that comes from her Jewelry Bar®.
• For Example: Susie Q.'s party reached $600 and had 2 additional bookings. Susie will earn 2 half off items (one at $250 and one at $500) as well as an additional 2 half off items for her bookings. Susie receives a total of 4 half off items.

3. The Hostess Exclusive

• The hostess exclusive is just that, an exclusive set of items only available to the Hostess! This is an additional optional purchase available to the Hostess alone, and it does not count towards the product total for calculating rewards.
• Go back to our example of Susie Q's party. Susie had $600 in sales and based on the chart was at the $500 level. At this level she earns 50% off the total retail value of the Exclusive. This value will vary depending on the current quarter's rewards.

Remember, a party must have a total of $125 in retail sales and 4 total orders to qualify for party rewards. If the hostess chooses to order any items at full retail, her order will not only count as one of the 4 required, but items purchased at retail also count towards her total sales that are used to calculate rewards on!
