Origami Owl® Booking Games

Whether you are a new or seasoned Designer, Jewelry Bars® are at the heart of your business! So how can you get bookings and keep them rolling right along? How about Booking Games!

Booking games are games that you can use at your Jewelry Bar® to help raise excitement through incentives to book a party. Below I have listed some examples:

1. The Chain/Dangle Game

  • Select three dangles and a chain that you wouldn't mind giving as incentives/prizes.
  • Place all 3 dangles onto the chain.
  • At the start of the party, let your hostess know she is going to have an opportunity to win a chain for FREE. Pull out the chain with dangles and let her know she could be taking home this exact chain and for tonight she get's to wear it during her party!
  • When a person who books a party from her, they will get to pick a free dangle off the chain.
  • Let them come up and pick their dangle in front of the guests to help build excitement. Then, let them know you will put that dangle aside and give it to them at their party! Not only that, but should you decide to play this game at their party, they too would have the opportunity to win the free chain as well!
  • If all three dangles are selected (meaning three parties booked) the chain becomes hers!
  • Remind your hostess that for each additional booking she gets, she will ALSO receive a half price item as part of her Hostess Rewards. Should she get 1 or 2 bookings but not all 3, she is still getting some fabulous additional half price items!
*On a side note, should you have any retired dangles sitting in your inventory, feel free to use these! Let guests know that these items are not available to purchase. They have become collectors items and are that much more special!

2. Deal or No Deal
  • Option One:
    • Have cards ready that you have pre made at home. Each card will have a prize on it, ranging from a free charm to free locket. You choose the prizes you want to use!
    • Let your guests know they are going to have the opportunity to win something for FREE! Share with them the range of prizes that the cards contain. Ex: "You could even win a FREE Locket!"
    • Walk around and let each person pick a card from your hand. This let's them hang on to it and builds excitement. Do not let them open the cards yet!
    • Now, let the guests know that in order to open their cards and keep the prize, they must book a party of their own! And not only will they receive the prize they have selected, but they will also be able to earn even more fabulous free stuff as a Hostess. (You can then share with them the Hostess Rewards).
    • Let them know their Hostess is going to receive a half price item as well!
    • Now walk back to the first guest and ask them "Deal? Or No Deal?" If they say yes, let them open the envelope and share their prize with everyone! If they say No deal, take the envelope back and tuck it away.
    • Opening them individually will help build excitement. It will also allow them to see what has/has not been won so far. If guests 1 & 2 open their cards but the larger prize has not been won, Guest 3 may decide to take the deal knowing she has a better chance that the card she picked is the bigger prize!
  • Option Two:
    • Repeat all the steps as done in Option One, until you get to opening the cards.
    • Ask everyone "Deal or No Deal". Take back all the No deal cards and let everyone who agreed open theirs at once. It will be one big room of excitement. If you have a lot of guests this option is also quicker.
3. The Balloon Game
  • This is played the exact same way as Deal or No Deal but instead of using cards/envelopes, you use balloons! Put a small slip of paper in the balloon with a prize on it.
  • Should they decide to take the deal, they get to pop their balloon!
  • Once one person hears the pop, guests tend to get excited and want to pop their own balloon too!

Maybe you have already used these games, or a variation of them. If so, how did they work for you? Do you have a favorite game not on this list? I would love to hear about it! Share your ideas in the comments below! Or if you are interested in becoming a new designer and want to talk more about the opportunity of booking Jewelry Bars® and what to do to start your own business, contact me! I'd love to chat.
